BTC, SPX, and GOLD λS records available for September analysis.
Status Card — V7
September 2026
BTC pressure became nearly continuous, Gold remained persistently pressured, and the global layer stayed elevated without becoming Critical.
September 2026 sustained and broadened the higher-tension pattern visible in August. BTC spent 91.39% of observations in Pressure and 8.47% in Transition, leaving only 0.14% in Stable, while its monthly average λS rose to 0.443578 and slightly exceeded GOLD. GOLD remained overwhelmingly pressured at 95.83%, and SPX moved back toward a balanced but pressure-leaning profile. The global Risk Index was in Pressure for 92.36% of observations and Transition for 5.83%, yet 72.08% of global readings were still BTC-only. No Critical readings or alert records occurred.
No alert documents were recorded during the month.
Pressure plus Transition accounted for 719 of 720 BTC observations.
1. Executive Summary
September extended August's BTC-led elevation. BTC recorded 658 Pressure observations and 61 Transition observations, with only one Stable reading during the entire month.
BTC also became the highest-average λS asset at 0.443578, narrowly above GOLD at 0.441847. GOLD nevertheless remained structurally persistent, with 95.83% of its observations in Pressure.
SPX reversed part of August's calm profile. After being predominantly Stable in August, September was nearly balanced but pressure-leaning: 51.79% Pressure and 48.21% Stable.
The global Risk Index averaged 0.432914 and spent 92.36% of observations in the derived Pressure band. Transition represented another 5.83%. However, the strongest global Transition readings were BTC-only, and BTC-only coverage still represented 72.08% of all global observations.
September was a sustained high-tension month at the BTC and global derived-risk layers, but the evidence remained non-critical and strongly coverage-limited rather than fully synchronized across all three assets.
2. Data Coverage
The monthly dataset contained 1,056 λS runs. No documents were recorded in failed_runs.
| Asset | Runs | Avg λS | Min λS | Max λS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | 720 | 0.443578 | 0.324037 | 0.635152 |
| SPX | 168 | 0.356476 | 0.258613 | 0.461855 |
| GOLD | 168 | 0.441847 | 0.341009 | 0.567550 |
BTC and GOLD were almost equal in monthly average λS, but BTC produced both the higher average and the higher monthly maximum. SPX remained materially lower.
3. Global Coverage
| Coverage | Share |
|---|---|
| BTC only | 72.08% |
| BTC + GOLD + SPX | 27.36% |
| BTC + SPX | 0.56% |
Full three-asset coverage improved slightly from August, but remained below one-third of global observations. GOLD was skipped in 523 diagnostics and SPX in 519, while BTC was included in all 720 global records.
Global risk interpretation remains coverage-aware: elevated derived bands cannot be treated as continuous full cross-asset confirmation when nearly three-quarters of readings are BTC-only.
4. Asset-Level Market State Distribution
| Asset | Stable | Pressure | Transition | Critical |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | 0.14% | 91.39% | 8.47% | 0% |
| SPX | 48.21% | 51.79% | 0% | 0% |
| GOLD | 4.17% | 95.83% | 0% | 0% |
BTC underwent the largest structural shift: Stable effectively disappeared while Pressure dominated and Transition remained recurrent. GOLD continued its persistent Pressure profile, and SPX moved from August's strongly Stable state toward an almost even Stable/Pressure split.
September's asset layer was no longer Gold-led alone; BTC joined GOLD as a persistent pressure carrier and was the only asset to produce Transition observations.
5. Global Risk Index Behavior
| Derived Risk Band | Share |
|---|---|
| Pressure | 92.36% |
| Transition | 5.83% |
| Stable | 1.81% |
| Critical | 0% |
The global layer was substantially more elevated than in August. Yet the strongest listed Transition readings, including the monthly maximum of 0.627024, were BTC-only observations rather than full three-asset readings.
6. Asset-Level Regime Behavior
BTC
BTC was overwhelmingly pressure-like at the signal layer, but SIDEWAYS remained the dominant regime at 70.14%. TRENDING_DOWN represented 15.00% and TRENDING_UP 14.86%. This preserves an important distinction: sustained structural pressure did not require a continuously directional regime.
SPX
SPX was nearly balanced between Stable and Pressure. SIDEWAYS represented 48.21% of regimes, followed by TRENDING_DOWN at 27.38% and TRENDING_UP at 24.40%.
GOLD
GOLD remained 95.83% Pressure while TRENDING_DOWN became dominant at 66.07%. TRENDING_UP represented 22.62% and SIDEWAYS 11.31%, marking a clear regime shift from August's TRENDING_UP-dominant Gold profile.
7. Pressure Pockets
September's strongest asset-level pressure pockets were again concentrated in BTC. The highest λS reading occurred on September 21 and was classified as Transition under TRENDING_UP.
| Date | Asset | Signal | λS | Regime | Persistence Proxy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep 21 | BTC | Transition | 0.635152 | TRENDING_UP | 6 obs. |
| Sep 21 | BTC | Transition | 0.627738 | TRENDING_UP | 12 obs. |
| Sep 19 | BTC | Transition | 0.627024 | TRENDING_UP | 1 obs. |
Persistence is presented as the stored consecutive-observation proxy. It is not interpreted as verified uninterrupted elapsed time.
The global pressure-pocket list follows the same BTC-led pattern: the strongest listed global Transition observations were all labeled BTC-only coverage.
8. Alert Layer
No alert records were generated during September.
This must remain separate from the asset and derived global bands. BTC produced 61 Transition observations and the global Risk Index produced 42 derived Transition observations, but the alert collection remained empty and no Critical reading was recorded.
9. Hidden Macro Layer
| Hidden Macro Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| MacroPressure Average | 0.525377 |
| MacroPressure Minimum | 0.319649 |
| MacroPressure Maximum | 0.730383 |
| observeOnly = False | 720 records |
Average recorded stress adjustments were positive across all three assets: BTC +0.014879, SPX +0.005599, and GOLD +0.008381.
Diagnostic note: September records observeOnly = False for all 720 Hidden Macro observations. This is materially different from August's mixed True/False distribution. The monthly summary establishes the configuration field and adjustment values, but does not by itself explain deployment intent or the exact activation transition; the status record should preserve that distinction.
10. Operational Health
| Ops Status | Share |
|---|---|
| DEGRADED | 41.11% |
| OK_MARKET_CLOSED_CONTEXT | 24.44% |
| OK | 23.33% |
| FAILED | 11.11% |
September contained 720 recorded ops cycles, with 352 market-closed skips and a stale-provider count of 160.
No documents were recorded in failed_runs, but 80 ops cycles were classified as FAILED. As in August, the summary establishes both facts without providing enough detail to reconcile their operational paths, so they should remain separately represented.
September produced a complete monthly BTC cycle count and no failed-run documents, but operational health remained mixed because DEGRADED and FAILED cycle states were still material.
11. Diagnostic Conclusion
September confirmed that August's BTC elevation was not merely an isolated monthly spike. BTC spent virtually the entire month in Pressure or Transition and became the highest-average λS asset, albeit only marginally above GOLD.
GOLD remained persistently pressured, while SPX moved back from August's strongly Stable profile to a slight Pressure majority. The three assets therefore showed different internal structures despite a generally more elevated month.
At the global layer, Pressure dominated and Transition remained present, but the strongest Transition observations were still BTC-only and full three-asset coverage represented only 27.36% of readings. No Critical readings or alert records occurred.
September also introduced a clear Hidden Macro configuration observation: all 720 records were marked observeOnly = False. Operationally, failed_runs remained empty even though 80 ops cycles carried FAILED status.
September 2026 was a sustained BTC-led high-pressure month with persistent Gold pressure and a re-pressurizing SPX, while the global layer remained elevated but coverage-limited, non-critical, and alert-free.
12. Recommended Next Steps
- Track BTC pressure persistence and Transition recurrence: September contained 719 pressure-like BTC observations out of 720 and multiple Transition clusters.
- Preserve the global coverage qualifier: BTC-only readings still represented 72.08% of global observations, including the strongest listed Transition readings.
- Continue tracking persistent GOLD Pressure: GOLD remained 95.83% Pressure, while its dominant regime shifted sharply toward TRENDING_DOWN.
- Watch SPX re-pressurization: SPX moved from 93.12% Stable in August to a 51.79% Pressure majority in September.
- Audit the Hidden Macro mode transition: September recorded
observeOnly = Falseacross all 720 records after August's mixed distribution; preserve the historical activation boundary explicitly. - Reconcile ops-cycle FAILED with empty failed_runs: The 80 FAILED cycle statuses remain operationally distinct from the zero-document failed_runs collection.
